Chap. XXII.— An Act to supply a Deficiency in the Appropriation for the Service of the fiscal Year ending the thirtieth of June, eighteen hundred and fifty.June 21, 1850. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the sum of fifty thousand dollars be, and the same is hereby, appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated by law, to supply a deficiency in the appropriation for defraying the expenses of the Deficiency in the appropriation for expenses of United States courts provided for.
Supreme, Circuit, and District Courts of the United States, including the District of Columbia; also for jurors and witnesses in aid of the funds arising from fines, penalties, and forfeitures incurred in the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and fifty, and previous years, and likewise for defraying the expenses of suits in which the United States are concerned, and of prosecutions for offences committed against the United States, and for the safe keeping of prisoners.
