Chap. XXI.— An Act providing for the Payment of the Claim of Walter R. Johnson against the United States. March 14, 1848. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That there be paid to$611 31 cents to be paid him in full for his services, &c. Walter R. Johnson, from any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of six hundred and eleven dollars and thirty-one cents, which will be in full for his services, and payments made by him in researches and experiments on American coal, under the direction of the Secretary of the Navy. Approved, March 14, 1848.
