Chap. XVIII.— An Act for the Relief of Ray Tompkins and others, the Children and Heirs-at Law of the late Daniel D. Tompkins. Feb. 22, 1847. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, The sum of $49,795 02 to be paid to heirs, &c., of D. D. Tompkins. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the children and heirs of Daniel D. Tompkins, late governor of the State of New York, deceased, the sum of forty-nine thousand seven hundred and ninety-five dollars and two cents. Approved, February 22, 1847.
