Chap. XIX.— An Act *concerning the Courts of the United States in and for the District of Michigan.* March 14, 1848. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Circuit and The courts of the United States in Michigan to be held al Detroit on the third Monday in June and second Monday in October, annually.District Courts of the United States for the district of Michigan shall continue to be held in the city of Detroit on the third Monday of June and the second Monday of October in every year, any provision in any act of Congress, heretofore passed, to the contrary notwithstanding; and that all writs, pleas, suits, recognizances, indictments, and all other proceedings, civil and criminal, shall be heard, tried, and proceeded with by the said courts in the same manner and at the same place as heretofore.
