Chap. XCIII.— An Act for the Relief of John Speakman. March 3, 1847. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, John Speakman to be paid $741 60, in full for all losses under a certain contract with the government. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, directed to pay to John Speakman, out of any moneys in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of seven hundred and forty-one dollars and sixty cents, in full compensation for ail losses he may have sustained by reason of any action of the government affecting his contract to line gunpowder barrels with India rubber cloth, for the use of the United States.
