Chap. LXXVIII.— An Act for the Relief of Phineas Capen, Administrator of John Cox, deceased, of Boston. June 26, 1848. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, $436 23, being the amount due John Cox, deceased, to be paid his administrator. That the sum of four hundred and thirty-six dollars and twenty-eight cents be, and the same is hereby, directed to be paid, out of any moneys in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Phineas Capeu, legal administrator of John Cox, late of Boston, deceased, it being the amount due to the said John Cox, deceased, by the United States, for his services on board of one of its ships, and which said sum was fraudulently obtained from the treasury officers by a person unknown to, and unauthorized by, the heirs and the legal administrator of said John Cox, deceased.
