Chap. LXXIX.— An Act to provide for the final Settlement of the Accounts of John Spencer, late Receiver of public Moneys at Fort Wayne, Indiana. March 3, 1847. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Accounts of John Spencer to be settled upon principles of justice and equity. That the proper accounting officers of the treasury be, and they are hereby, authorized and required to audit and settie the accounts of John Spencer, late receiver of public moneys at Fort Wayne, Indiana, upon principles of equity and justice; and that whatever sum or sums of money, if any, be found due said Spencer, shall be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
