Chap. LXXI.— An Act for the Relief of the legal Representatives of Thomas Shields, deceased. March 3, 1847. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the CommissionerCommissioner of Pensions to pay the legal representatives of Thomas Shields, a pension up to August 23, 1842. of Pensions be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to the legal representatives of Thomas Shields, late a purser in the navy of the United States, deceased, a pension up to the twenty-third of August, one thousand eight hundred and forty-two, in conformity with the provisions of the act of Congress approved on the third of March, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-seven, entitled “An Act for the more equitable Administration of the Navy Pension Fund.”1837, ch. 38.
