Chap. LXIX.— An Act for the Relief of Abraham R. Fannin. July 29, 1846. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the SecretaryAccounts of A. B. Fannin to be audited and settled. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle, upon principles of justice and equity, the accounts of Abraham B. Fannin, formerly collector of the customs for the district of Savannah, in the State of Georgia: *Provided*, That the credits which may be given inProviso. such settlement on account of expenses incurred by and allowed to him per annum, as collector aforesaid, shall not exceed the expenses incurred by and allowed per annum to his successor in said office, nor make any balance due from or payable by the United States to said Fannin.
