Chap. CXV.— An Act for the Relief of Jacob L. Vance. March 3, 1847. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Jacob L. Vance to be paid $50 for horse lost in the service of United States. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to Jacob L. Vance, of the State of Ohio, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of fifty dollars, being in full compensation for a horse lost in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirteen, while in the service of the United States; also Also $54 for the services of his wagon and team.the sum of fifty-four dollars, being in full compensation for the use of his team of four horses and a wagon eighteen days in the year eighteen hundred and thirteen, which said team was employed in conveying flour to the army of the United States.
