Chap. CLXXVI.— An Act for the Relief of Peter Shaffer. March 3, 1849. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, $372 46 to be paid Peter Shaffer, in full for work done by him upon the Cumberland road. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Peter Shaffer, the sum of three hundred and seventy-two dollars and forty-six cents, in full compensation for work done by him (by contract) upon the Cumberland road within the State of Illinois. Approved, March 3, 1849.
