Chap. CLVII.— An Act for the Relief of David N. Smith. Aug. 11, 1848. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, A pension of $8 per month allowed to David N. Smith. That the Secretary of War be authorized and directed to place the name of David N. Smith, of New York, on the roll of invalid pensioners, and that he be paid at the rate of eight dollars per month during his life, to commence on the nineteenth day of January, eighteen hundred and forty-seven. Approved, August 11, 1848.
