Chap. CLIX.— An Act for the Relief of the Heirs and legal Representatives of Cyrus Turner, deceased. Aug. 8, 1846. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Legal representatives of Cyrus Turner to be paid $1,500 for depredations committed by Sioux Indians. That there shall be paid to the heirs and legal representatives of Cyrus Turner, deceased, the sum of one thousand five hundred dollars, to be paid out of any moneys in the treasury not otherwise appropriated; which sum of money shall be in full of all demands for depredations and injuries committed by that band of Sioux Indians known and designated as the North Sursitons or Lake Traverse Indians; which sum of money Said sum to be deducted from Sioux annuities.shall be deducted from any annuity which may now be, or hereafter may become, due from this government to said band of Indians.
