Chap. CCIII.— An Act granting a Pension to Abigail Garland, Widow of Jacob Garland, deceased. Aug. 14, 1848. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, A pension of $5 per month allowed Abigail Garland. That the Secretary of War be authorized and directed to place the name of Abigail Garland, of Potten, in the province of Canada East, widow of Jacob Garland, on the revolutionary pension roll; and that she be paid at the rate of five dollars per month during her life, to commence on the twenty-eighth of April, eighteen hundred and forty-three. Approved, August 14, 1848.
