Chap. CC.— An Act to compensate R. M. Johnson, for the Erection of certain Buildings for the Use of the Choctaw Academy. Aug. 14, 1848. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, R. M. Johnson to be paid the cost of certain buildings erected by him for the use of Indian students at the Choctaw Academy. That the Secretary of War be authorized and required to receive proof of the cost of the buildings erected by Colonel Richard M.
Johnson, of Kentucky, for the use of Indian students at the Choctaw Academy, and when the cost of such buildings shall be so ascertained, to pay the same to said Johnson; and for the purpose aforesaid, the sum of ten thousand dollars be, and the same is hereby, appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. Approved, August 14, 1848.
