Chap. XXVI.— An Act *for the relief of Benjamin Franklin Stickney.* Feb. 17, 1836. *Be it enacted, &c.*, That the Secretary of War be, and he hereby is, authorized and required to settle the accounts of Benjamin FranklinHis accounts as Indian agent to be settled and paid. Stickney, late agent of Indian affairs at Fort Wayne, for all services of a military nature or character which shall appear to have been performed by the said Benjamin Franklin Stickney for the United States, between the twenty-second day of March, in the year eighteen hundred and twelve, and the tenth day of May, in the year eighteen hundred and fifteen, and to allow him such compensation for the same as has heretofore been allowed to other agents of Indian affairs for similar services, and that the amount found to be due the said Benjamin Franklin Stickney, be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated: *Provided,* That no allowance shall be made under the provisionsProviso. of this act, to the said Benjamin Franklin Stickney, for the performance of any of the ordinary duties of an agent of Indian affairs.
