Chap. XX.— An Act for the relief of Gad Worthington. April 17, 1822. *Be it enacted, &c., * That the Secretary of the Treasury be authorized Credit to be allowed in the settlement of his accounts.to allow credit in the settlement of the accounts of Joshua Danforth, collector of the direct tax, in the Eighteenth Collection District, in Massachusetts, for the sum of one hundred and ninety-three dollars, upon proof being adduced, to the satisfaction of the said Secretary, that Gad Worthington, a deputy collector of the said district, has, without fault on his part, been robbed of public money to that amount, and that he has been released from the payment of such sum by the said collector.
