Chap. XVII.— An Act to authorize the Secretary of the Treasury to compromise the claims of the United States, against the late firm of Minturn and Champlin, and their securities.March 24, 1834. *Be it enacted, &c.,* That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized to compromise and finally settle with Benjamin Compromise and settlement of all claims against them. G. Minturn, surviving partner of the late firm of Minturn and Champlin, all the claims of the United States upon the said firm and their securities, upon such terms as he may deem most conducive to the interest of the United States. Approved, March 24, 1834.
