Chap. XLVI.— An Act for the relief of Joseph Perkins. Feb. 17, 1815. *Be it enacted, &c., * To be compensated for destruction of the ship Liverpool Trader. That the proper accounting officers of the navy department be, and they are hereby, authorized to audit and settle the claim of Joseph Perkins, on account of the destruction of the ship Liverpool Trader, by ascertaining or causing to be ascertained the value thereof, at the time of such destruction, in such manner, and upon such terms, as may embrace the merits of the claim.
Sec. 2. Appropriation. *And be it further enacted, *That the amount of such valuation, when ascertained as aforesaid, shall be paid to the said Joseph Perkins, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. Approved, February 17, 1815.
