XLV.— An Act *to refund a fine imposed on the late Matthew Lyon, under the sedition law, to his legal heirs and representatives.*July 4, 1840. *Be it enacted, &c*., That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he isA certain fine, with interest, to be refunded. hereby, authorized and directed to pay to the legal heirs and representatives of Matthew Lyon, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of one thousand and sixty dollars and ninety-six cents, with interest thereon from the ninth day of February, seventeen hundred and ninety-nine, to the passing of this act. Approved, July 4, 1840.
