Chap. XLII.— An Act *for the relief of Edward Kennard.* June 10, 1844. *Be it enacted, &c*., That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, directed to pay to Edward Kennard the sum of fifty dollars.Payment to him, being one moiety of a certain penalty. The same being one moiety of the penalty collected of the said Kennard, by the collector of the port of New Orleans, in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty-two, for a breach of the revenue laws: it having been made to appear that the said penalty was incurred without wilful negligence, and without any design to violate the law. Approved, June 10, 1844.
