Chap. XLI.— An Act directing the payment of a detachment of militia, for services performed in the year one thousand seven hundred and ninety-four, under Major James Ore. May 8, 1798. *Be it enacted, &c., * Accounts of certain militia to be settled. That the proper accounting officers be, and they are hereby authorized to settle the accounts of the militia who served on an expedition commanded by Major James Ore, against the lower Cherokee Indians, in the year one thousand seven hundred and ninety-four; and that the same be paid out of any moneys in the Treasury, not otherwise appropriated. Approved, May 8, 1798.
