Chap. XL.— An Act to repeal an act, approved the third March, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-three, entitled “An act for the relief of John B. Hogan. April 22, 1824. *Be it enacted, &c., * That the act approved on the third of March, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-three, entitled “An act for theAct of 3d March, 1823, ch. 76, repealed, &c. relief of John B. Hogan,” be, and the same is hereby, repealed, and that the accounting officers of the government be authorized to take such judicial measures or otherwise as may be necessary to compel a settlement of his accounts.
Sec. 2. *And be it further enacted, *That the proper accounting officerAmount paid to be credited on treasury books. of the treasury department be, and the same is hereby, directed to carry to the credit of the said Hogan, the amount paid by him, on account of clothing, to the Tennessee militia volunteer gunmen. Approved, April 22, 1824.
