Chap. XIV.— An Act in addition to “An act for the relief of George T. Ross, and Daniel T. Patterson, and the officers and men lately under their command.” Feb. 22, 1817. *Be it enacted, &c., * That, for the purpose of carrying into effect the act, entitled “An act for the relief of George T. Ross and Daniel T.Secretaries of War and Navy authorized to draw money and appoint agents to disburse it.Act of April 27, 1816, ch. 124. Patterson, and the officers and men lately under their command,” the Secretaries of War and Navy are hereby authorized and required, by and with the approbation of the President of the United States, to draw, by their warrant or warrants, from the Treasury of the United States, out of any moneys therein not otherwise appropriated, the sum appropriated by the said act, and to appoint an agent or agents to disburse the same, according to the true intent and meaning of the act aforesaid.
