Chap. XIV.— An Act *for the relief of Robert Milnor and John Thompson.*May 2, 1840. *Be it enacted, &c*., That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby,Payment for extra services as gaugers. directed to pay to Robert Milnor and John Thompson the sum of two thousand seven hundred and fifty-seven dollars and twenty-three cents, being the amount of fees equitably due to said Milnor and Thompson for extra service rendered by them as gaugers at the port of Philadelphia,Act of July 4, 1836, ch. 359. after the passage of the act of the fourth of July, eighteen hundred and thirty-six, reducing the duties on wines, in regauging certain wines then in custom stores at said port, and coming within the provisions of said act; to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
