Chap. XII.— An Act for the relief of William Stothart and, Josiah Starkey. Feb. 12, 1814. *Be it enacted, &c., * That William Stothart and Josiah Starkey, who imported into the United States from the united kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, in the month of January or February, eighteen hundred and thirteen, on board the Tyber, twenty-eight bales of merchandise, May avail themselves of the benefits of act of 2d Jan. 1813, ch. 7.shall be entitled to, and may avail themselves of, the provisions of the act entitled “An act directing the secretary of the treasury to remit fines, forfeitures, and penalties, in certain cases,” passed on the second day of January, eighteen hundred and thirteen, in the same manner, and to the same extent, as if the said merchandise had been shipped within the time limited by the said act.
