Chap. XCVIII.— An Act for the relief of John Roberts, late Major of Infantry, in the war of the Revolution. May 25, 1832. *Be it enacted, &c., * Act of August 4, 1790, ch. 34. That the proper accounting officers of the treasuryFive years’ full pay as major allowed. do settle and adjust the account of Major John Roberts, of the Virginia line on continental establishment, and allow him five years’ full pay as Major of Infantry, in commutation of the half pay for life, promised by the resolutions of Congress, with such interest thereon as the party would have been entitled to if a final settlement certificate had been issued for the amount of his commutation, and the same had been subscribed to the loan created by the act of one thousand seven hundred and ninety, providing for the funding of the debt of the United States; and that the same be paid him out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated by law.
