Chap. XCVIII.— An Act giving the right of pre-emption to James Shields. May 12, 1820. *Be it enacted, &c., * That James Shields be, and he is hereby, entitled to a preference in becoming the purchaser, at private sale, of fractionalEntitled to a preference in the purchase of a fractional section, &c. section numbered eighteen, in township numbered six, north of range numbered six, east of the second principal meridian, within the limits of the Jeffersonville district; at the same price, and on the same terms and conditions, as are provided by law for the other public lands in the said district at private sale. Approved, May 12, 1820.
