Chap. XCVII.— An Act *for the settlement of the accounts of Edmund Roberts, late diplomatic agent of the United. Stales to Cochin China, Muscat and Siam.*March 3, 1839. *Be it enacted, &c*., That the proper accounting officers of the treasury be authorized to allow to the legal representatives of the late EdmundAllowed the salary of a chargé, without the outfit. Roberts the salary of a chargé d’affaires, without the outfit, during the time he was employed as diplomatic agent of the United States, under his appointment of January twenty-seventh, eighteen hundred and thirty- 760 TWENTY-FIFTH CONGRESS.
