Chap. XCVI.— An Act for the relief of John Hall, late a major of marines. April 20, 1818. *Be it enacted, &c., * That the proper accounting officers of the treasury department be, and they are hereby authorized and directed toCredit allowed him. credit John Hall, late a major of marines, with the sum of two thousand four hundred dollars, in the settlement of his accounts, the same being part of a sum of money deposited in the hands of the said Hall, for the purpose of purchasing supplies for the marines under his command, and of which the said Hall was robbed in Marseilles, in France. Approved, April 20, 1818.
