Chap. XCIV.— An Act granting to the president and directors of the New Orleans Navigation Company, and their successors, a lot of ground. April 18, 1814. *Be it enacted, &c., * The right and claim of the United States to a lot of ground in the county of Orleans, &c. as described, with the improvements, vested in and conveyed to the president and directors of the Orleans Navigation Company, &c. That all the right and claim of the United States to a lot of ground in the county of Orleans, and state of Louisiana, bounded above by the lands of Don Miguel, and fronting on the bayou St.
John, containing one hundred and eighty feet front and five hundred and forty feet back, including the improvements thereon, now occupied by the said company, be, and the same hereby is, vested in and conveyed to the president and directors of the Orleans Navigation Company, for the time being, and their successors, for the use and benefit of the said company forever.
