Chap. XCIII.— An Act directing the discharge of Moses Lewis from imprisonment. April 26, 1816. *Be it enacted, &c., * To be discharged from imprisonment. That Moses Lewis, who is now confined in the gaol of Haverhill, in the State of New Hampshire, on a judgment rendered by the circuit court of the United States holden at Rutland, for the district of Vermont, by which he was sentenced to pay a fine to FOURTEENTH CONGRESS. Sess. I. Ch. 94, 96, 97, 99. 1816. 167 the United States, be discharged from his imprisonment: *Provided, however,* That any estate, real or personal, which the said Moses Lewis may have, or hereafter acquire, shall be liable to be taken to satisfy the sentence against him, in the same manner as if he had not been imprisoned and discharged.
