LXXVI.— An Act *for the relief of George Wallis.* June 15, 1844. *Be it enacted, &c*., That the Secretary of War of the United States be, and he is hereby, directed to pay to George Wallis the sum of threePayment for cattle destroyed by Indians. thousand dollars, it being for the destruction of the cattle of the said George Wallis by the Sac, Fox, and Iowa tribes of Indians: and that said sum of money be paid out of the annuities payable to said tribes of Indians in equal proportions: that is to say, one thousand five hundred dollars out of the annuities due the Sac and Fox’s of the Missouri river, and one thousand five hundred dollars out of the annuities due the Iowas.
