Chap. LXXIV.— An Act for the relief of the heirs of Edward M’Carty, deceased. May 7, 1822. *Be it enacted, &c., * Compensation for property destroyed during the invasion of Louisiana. That there be paid to the heirs of Edward M’Carty, deceased, or to their legal representative, the sum of two thousand nine hundred and forty dollars, in full for property destroyed during the invasion of Louisiana, during the late war; and that the same be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. Approved, May 7, 1822.
