Chap. LVIII.— An Act *for the relief of Henry Lee.* March 3, 1837. *Be it enacted, &c.*, That the accounting officers of the treasury A credit to be allowed to John Ricaud.department be, and they are hereby, directed and required to admit and pass to the credit of John Ricaud, the sum of two thousand dollars heretofore suspended front his credit, in the settlement of the said John Ricaud’s account, as paymaster to the thirty-sixth regiment of United States infantry, commanded at a separate post, by Colonel William Carberry.
Sec. 2. Henry Lee released from a judgment as surety of John Ricaud. *And be it further enacted,* That Henry Lee be, and he is hereby, released and fully exonerated from the force and effect of a judgment obtained against him in the district court of the United States, at Richmond, Virginia, as surety of the aforesaid John Ricaud, late paymaster of the thirty-sixth regiment of United States infantry. Sec. 3. Act when to be in force. *And be it further enacted,* That this act shall commence and be in force from and after the passage thereof.
