Chap. LIX.— An Act *for the relief of William Christy.* March 3, 1837. *Be it enacted, &c.*, That the Third Auditor of the Treasury ascertain Amount due him to be ascertained, &c.the amount due to William Christy, as military storekeeper, one year, in the north-western army, under an appointment of General Harrison; and when so ascertained, that he report the same to the Solicitor of the Treasury, who is directed to cause the same to be credited on the principal of a judgment, recovered in favor of the United States against said Christy, in the district court of Louisiana, at the December term of said court in the year eighteen hundred and twenty-seven.
Sec. 2. Arrangement to be made with him for payment of judgment. *And be it further enacted,* That the Secretary of the Treasury be authorized to make an arrangement with the said William Christy, for the payment of the balance of the principal of said judgment and costs, at any time within five years, by instalments which being paid, according to the stipulations of the parties, the said Secretary is authorized to discharge said judgment.
