Chap. LIV.— An Act for the relief of Peter Caslard. March 3, 1817. *Be it enacted, &c., * That the additional accountant of the war departmentClaim on account of the destruction of his saw-mill, to be settled. be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed, to audit and settle the claim of Peter Caslard, on account of the destruction of his sawmill and property, by order of General David B. Morgan, and that he allow him, in the settlement thereof, the value of such injury, as he may satisfactorily show he has sustained in consequence of such destruction.
Sec. 3. [2.] Appropriation. *And be it further enacted, *That the amount thereof, when ascertained as aforesaid, shall be paid to the said Caslard, or his representatives, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. Approved, March 3, 1817.
