Chap. IX.— An Act for the relief of John Hurtell.Feb. 5, 1834. *Be it enacted, &c.,* That John Hurtell be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter at the proper land office, a tract of two hundred and forty Authorized to enter a tract of land. acres of land, being the south-west quarter and west half of the north-west quarter of section number thirty-six, in township twenty, range four east, in the land district of Saint Stephen’s, in the state of Alabama, being a part of the land designated under the law of the third day Act of March 3, 1817, ch. 61. of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventeen, entitled, “An act to set apart and dispose of certain public lands for the encouragement of the cultivation of the vine and olive:” *Provided,* The said John Proviso.
Hurtell, shall pay for the same, at the rate of one dollar and twenty-555TWENTY-THIRD CONGRESS. Sess. I. Ch. 12, 13, 14, 17. 1834.five cents per acre, and shall in other respects, conform to the regulations for the purchase of the public lands of the United States, that are subject to entry at private sale. Approved, February 5, 1834.
