Chap. III.— An Act for the relief of the indigent sufferers by the fire at Alexandria. Jan. 24, 1827. *Be it enacted, &c., * $20,000 appropriated for their relief. That the sum of twenty thousand dollars be, and the same is hereby, appropriated, to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the relief of the indigent sufferers by the destructive fire in the city of Alexandria, in the district of Columbia, to be distributed under the direction of the Mayor and 356 NINETEENTH CONGRESS.
Sess. II. Ch. 10, 11, 12, 13, 15. 1827. 357 Common Council of the city of Alexandria, for the immediate relief of such class of sufferers, and for no other purpose. Approved, January 24, 1827.
