Chap. CXXXVI.— An Act to authorize the Secretary of the Treasury to compromise with the Trustee of the late firm of Thomas H. Smith and Son and their securities, the claims of the United Slates Upon the saidfirm and their securities. June 15, 1832. *Be it enacted, &c., * That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby authorized to compromise, and finally settle with the trustee ofCompromise of claim against them. the late firm of Thomas H. Smith and Son, all the claims of the United States upon the said firm and their securities, upon such terms as he may deem most conducive to the best interest of the United States. Approved, June 15, 1832.
