Chap. CXXX.— An Act *for the relief of the legal representatives of Doctor Absalom Baird, deceased.* June 23, 1836. *Be it enacted, &c.*, That the proper accounting officers of the treasury be, and they are hereby, required to settle the account of DoctorAccount to be settled, and allowance made. Absalom Baird, deceased, as a surgeon in the regiment of artificers of the army of the United States during the revolutionary war, and to allow his legal representatives compensation equal to five years’ full pay of a captain of infantry in the service of the United States, on continental establishment, without interest; which five years’ full pay is the commutation for his half pay for life, to be paid to the legal representatives of the said Absalom Baird out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
