Chap. CXXV.— An Act for the relief of Charles Todd. April 27, 1816. *Be it enacted, &c., * That the proper accounting officers of the NavyClaim to be settled. Department be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to audit and settle the claim of Charles Todd, for a wagon, horses and tobacco, which he lost in consequence of the wagon and horses being impressed into the service of the United States, by ascertaining the value of the 172 FOURTEENTH CONGRESS. Sess. I. Ch. 126, 128, 133. 1816. property aforesaid, at the time of its loss, in such manner and upon such terms, as may be reasonable and just.
Sec. 2. Appropriation. *And be it further enacted, *That the amount of such valuation, when ascertained as aforesaid, shall be paid to the said Charles Todd, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. Approved, April 27, 1816.
