Chap. CXCIII.— An Act *for the relief of John Underwood.* August 23, 1842. *Be it enacted, &c*., That the sum of one thousand two hundred and fifty dollars be, and the same is hereby, allowed John Underwood, one of the clerks in the office of the First Auditor, in the accounts of theAllowance for additional services. customs, for additional services rendered by him in stating the accounts of the late internal duties and direct taxes; and that the Secretary of the Treasury be authorized to pay the said sum to the said John Under-wood, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
