Chap. CV.— An Act for the benefit of John P. Maxwell, and Hugh H. Maxwell. April 27, 1816. *Be it enacted, &c., * That all the right, title, and interest of the Right of the U. S. relinquished to John P. and Hugh H. Maxwell.United States, of, in, and to, any real-estate, whereof a certain James Maxwell died seized, on the twenty-eighth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and fourteen, be, and the same is hereby, released unto John P. Maxwell, of the Missouri territory, and Hugh H.
Maxwell, of the territory of Illinois, nephews of the said James Maxwell, and the same is hereby vested in the said John P. Maxwell, and Hugh H. Maxwell and their heirs forever, as fully as if they had been citizens of the United States on the said fourteenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and fourteen; saving and reserving to all persons, other than the United States, any right, title, or interest, of, in, and to, the premises aforesaid, whereof the said James Maxwell died seized, as fully and amply as if this law had never been passed.
