Allen.*March 3, 1839. *Be it enacted, &c*., That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and heTo be indemnified for an official act. is hereby, authorized to pay to John L. Allen, of Lowndes county and state of Mississippi, out of any moneys in the treasury not otherwise ap- 771 TWENTY-FIFTH CONGRESS. Sess. III. Ch. 146, 147, 148, 149. 1839. propriated, the sum of nine hundred and fifty-nine dollars and eighty-six cents, being for the indemnification of the said Allen for an official act. Approved, March 3, 1839.
