Chap. CLXIX.— An Act *for the relief of A. J. Picket and George W. Gayle.*March 3, 1839. *Be it enacted, &c*., That the Secretary of War allow to A. J. PicketAllowed certain pay and emoluments. and to George W. Gayle, as aidsde-camp to C. C. Clay, late Governor of Alabama, the pay and emoluments to which their rank entitles them, for their services one month, in the year eighteen hundred and thirty-six, in obtaining, organizing, mustering, and marching volunteers of the militia of Alabama to suppress Indian hostilities; and that the amount so allowed, to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. Approved, March 3, 1839.
