Chap. CLXIII.— An Act *for the relief of Robert Miller.* August 11, 1842. *Be it enacted, &c*., That the Secretary of the Treasury be, andAmount of penalty of certain debenture bonds to be refunded.Proviso. hereby is, authorized and required to refund to Robert Miller, of Charleston, in the state of South Carolina, the amount of the penalty of two debenture bonds, executed by him and James Macbeth, running to the United States, dated March seventh, eighteen hundred and thirty-six, which amount he has paid to the United States: *Provided*, That the said Miller shall prove to the satisfaction of the said Secretary, by competent evidence, that the merchandise named in said bonds was reexported from the United States, and not relanded therein within the period required by law to entitle them to the benefits of debenture.
