Chap. CLIV.— An Act for the relief of John Brahan. May 26, 1828. *Be it enacted, &c., * A credit to be allowed to him of amount paid for clerk hire. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to credit the account of John Brahan, late receiver of public moneys at Huntsville, in the state of Alabama, with the sum of six thousand nine hundred and sixty-four dollars and ninety-nine cents, being the amount actually paid by said John Brahan, for clerk hire, in the Receiver’s and Register’s offices, under the authority of the late Secretary of the Treasury, and which has been suspended in the settlement of his accounts at the treasury department, which credit shall be entered as of the date when the said amount was so paid by the said Brahan.
