Chap. CL.— An Act for the relief of Philip Slaughter. May 26, 1828. *Be it enacted, &c., * That the proper accounting officers of the treasuryAccount to be settled, and allowance made. be, and they are hereby, required to settle and adjust the account of Philip Slaughter, and to allow him five years’ full pay for his services as a captain in the revolutionary war, (without interest;) which five years’ full pay is the commutation of his half pay for life; to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated: *Provided,*Proviso.1830, ch. 206.
That the acceptance by said Slaughter, of the grant herein made, shall be in lieu of any claim he may have under the provisions of a bill passed at this session of Congress, entitled “An act for the relief ofAct of May 15, 1828, ch. 53. the surviving officers and soldiers of the revolution.” Approved, May 26, 1828.
