Chap. CII.— An Act for the relief of the President and Directors of the Planters’ Bank of New Orleans. May 7, 1822. *Be it enacted, &c., * That the proper accounting officers of the treasury department be, and they are hereby, authorized to audit and settle theAccounts to be settled, for moneys advanced. accounts of the President and Directors of the Planters’ Bank of New Orleans, for moneys advanced by the said directors to pay sundry discharged soldiers of the United States, at the request of Ambrose D.
Smith, deputy paymaster, upon the principles of justice and equity; and that the sum found to be due, shall be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. Approved, May 7, 1822.
